FOUR WORDS THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE

THE FOUR WORDS

THE FOUR WORDS

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.  John 10:10b

WORD ONE: SIN

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...” Romans 3:23

Sin is an archery term that means to miss the mark. The Bible says that everyone on this earth has sin in their lives.  It doesn’t have to be “big sins” to count.  Even the small sins cause us to miss the mark when  measured against the perfection of God.  These sins separate us from God.

WORD TWO: REDEMPTION

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Ephesians 1:7

Your forgiveness of sins is not based on what you can do but on what He has done.  When Jesus hung on the cross He bore our sins as a sacrifice. With that sacrifice, Jesus made a way to pay for your sins IN FULL.  You cannot earn this but it is the free gift of God for all mankind.

WORD THREE: RESURRECTION

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.’” John 11:25

Resurrection is a powerful word that means to be raised from death in to life.  Three days after His death on the cross that paid for your sins, Jesus did just that. His resurrection means that you can have salvation and eternal life in Heaven.

WORD FOUR: YES

“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

Once you have understood who Jesus is and what Jesus did for you, you must then choose to accept this free gift of salvation.  You must say YES to Jesus as the Lord of your life and turn the rest of your life over to Him. By saying YES, you are turning away from your old life in to a new life with Jesus.

We want to invite you to say yes to God today.  We have included this short prayer to help you know how to pray.  The words are not as important as how you feel in your heart as you pray.

“God, I know that I have sinned against You and I have missed the mark in this life. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. He then rose again, defeating death and Hell so that I could have eternal life in Heaven.  With Your help, I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! Amen!”
