ABOUT MISSIONS AT MPBC

Our Mission Statement

We exist to connect people to God, One Another and a Lost World.

A simple statement, yet not easy in the slightest. A church cannot connect to a lost world if it lacks intentionality. The Great Commission is the heartbeat of God within every believer. The closer we are to Him, the more clearly we feel that rhythm. Each of us is called to this mission, the great work in the fields. Every person counts, and each needs a chance to know Christ as Lord.

Our church desires that each and every one of us is not just passionate to serve and give to missions, but to be trained to do missions right where we are. Whether it is in the workplace, the schools, or in the family; each of us is called to grow spiritually in both knowledge and experience. We must be able to serve our community and the world intentionally.

Equipped For Every Good Work

Leadership is the process of motivating, mobilizing, resourcing, and directing people to passionately, with a strategy to pursue a vision from God that a group jointly embraces.

-George Barna

To go as a body of believers, you must be a part of a body of believers. The church is where you are trained to learn how to identify God's will for your life. Church is the place where that will become your purpose. Church is the place where passion and zeal become reality, where hands and feet get involved. As a church, we want to see your passion for service and missions executed to the end goal. We also understand that this does not happen overnight. We desire that you get connected with God first.

The next step is to get you involved in a community or discipleship group. This is where you begin to work out your life, and the things you need from scripture to help guide it. The Holy Spirit takes all of this credit, we just want to provide you the opportunity for the community. When the church becomes a place beyond just sitting in the pew, to growing and going with your faith; the rhythm heart-beat of God is far more evident in your life.
