OUR PLAN FOR RE-OPENING
Dear Church Family and Friends,
For these past weeks our church, our country, and the world have faced the COVID -19 pandemic! Christians all over the world have been faced with a decision. Will we allow fear to consume us, or will we see this as an opportunity to share the love of Christ to the lost and fearful world? I am excited that our church has risen to this challenge and, in so many ways, has seized the opportunity to take the love of Christ into our community and, literally, all over the world!
NOW AS WE LOOK FORWARD, WE HAVE CHOSEN A RE-OPENING STRATEGY THAT WILL ROLL OUT AS FOLLOWS:
Sunday, May 31st - We are calling this our initial re-opening. We will have two worship services: the first at 9 am (yes, 9:00 am, not 9:15 am) and the second at 10:45 am. Our Beulah Campus will not re-open on this initial re-opening but will open the next Sunday, June 7th (pending Escambia County School Superintendent approval).
We will open all the MP Kidz areas as normal (see details below), and the MP Kidz ministry team will follow the social distancing and sanitizing guidelines to keep our babies & children as safe as possible. All other children sixth grade and up will attend the worship service in the auditorium. We ask that families sit together if possible and maintain social distancing.
Sunday, June 7th - This is Celebration Sunday. We will be re-opening everything on campus. This includes all small groups and all worship services. June 7th is also our annual Anniversary Sunday Service. We are so grateful for Pastor and Mrs. June’s 29 years of faithful service here at Marcus Pointe. Mark your calendars for this celebration of returning to campus, and also a celebration of God’s blessings on Marcus Pointe for 29 years!
