Pastor Godfrey, Jr. was saved in 1972 in Montgomery, Alabama and one year late began serving in ministry. His full time ministry started in 1979 in Panama City, Florida, at Central Baptist Church. In 1991, he became Pastor of Fundamental Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida. The church experienced rapid growth and soon outgrew the buildings.
The church voted to relocate and changed the name to Marcus Pointe Baptist Church. Since 1991, the average weekly attendance has climbed from 63 to more than 1600. The church has averaged more than 500 salvations and 350 new members.
Under the leadership of Pastor Godfrey, Marcus Pointe Baptist has expanded to include a Christian School for elementary students, a Thrift Store benefiting Military families, and an Online Christian Academy for 3rd to 12th grade.
Pastor and his wife June have three grown children: Becky Meredith and her husband Keith, Greg and his wife Brittany, and Bobby and his wife Aly. June and Pastor have 6 grandchildren.
Pastor Godfrey loves spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. His goal in ministry is to connect people to God, to one another, and to a lost world.
Tommy leads the pastoral and administrative staff as well as overseeing the day to day operations of the ministries here at Marcus Pointe. He assists Pastor Godfrey in fulfilling the vision and goals that God has given our ministry: to connect people to God, to each other and to the lost world both here in Pensacola and around the World.
Tommy and his wife Sherry have three beautiful children and two beautiful grandchildren. He wasn’t raised in a Christian home but accepted Christ as his Savior as a teenager then began serving in full-time ministry, when he was 23. God has given him a burden to share Christ with people and help them develop their spiritual gifts. Tommy and Sherry have committed their lives to helping people grow in their relationship with Christ and challenge them to full-fill God’s plan for their life. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading and following college football.
Rob Hilbun is currently in his 14th year in Student Ministry. Even though our culture is drastically changing, Rob has a heart to keep things simple. His desire is to see students saved, discipled, and sent out. His passion for students is evident through his preaching and discipleship. Rob published his first book “Church In The Streets” in 2014 and it can be found in Barnes and Noble and Amazon.com. Rob began to serve as Student Pastor at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church, April of 2015. He and his wife Ashley have three children: Bethany (6), Levi (4), and Samuel (2).

Robbie is a native of Pensacola and Graduate of Full Sail University where he studied Film and Television. He’s also a Two-Time Suncoast Emmy Award Nominee and during his time off enjoys photography and being the Track Announcer at 5 Flags Speedway. He and his wife Tiffany have been married for 8 years and have one child together.
Colton was born and raised in Pensacola, even receiving his Bachelors in Philosophy from the local college, University of West Florida. Colton is currently working on his Masters of Business in Administration. Colton has been in youth ministry in the Gulf Coast area for 5 years, serving in churches in both Pensacola and Mobile and loves helping students make an impact in their community and schools. Colton and his wife, Katie, have been married since 2012. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, watching any sports, and enhancing his coding and web development skills.
Rusty has his Associates degree in Business Administration from Tennessee Temple University. He had a successful remodeling business for several years. He brings his administration skills, leadership and construction knowledge in order for the church buildings to look excellent.
Rusty and Melissa have been married for six years. They enjoy finding unique areas where they can serve together. In his free time, Rusty loves to surf and fish.
Melissa has a bachelor’s degree from Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO. She was a co-owner of a successful photography studio for seven years. She brings innovative ideas, cutting edge marketing plan, and personality to the Marcus Pointe Thrift Store.
She has been married to Rusty for six years. They enjoy ministry opportunities at Marcus Pointe, and are excited about what the future holds.
Matthew Graff received a master’s degree in educational administration and taught at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Most recently, he served as vice principal of Rosedale Baptist School in Baltimore, Maryland, and as president of the Maryland Association of Christian Schools Athletics Commission (MACSAC). He currently teaches 5th grade, and directs the online academy at Marcus Pointe Christian School.
